Two-step verification adds a second lock to your account.
When you sign in, you enter your password and a 6-digit code from an app on your phone. The code changes every 30 seconds.
Your HomeReadiness account holds your family's important information: names, birthdays, medical notes, insurance and ID documents, and your emergency plans.
If someone steals or guesses your password, two-step verification still keeps them out, because they don't have your phone.
It's free, takes about 2 minutes to set up, and you only need the code when you sign in.

On iPhone with iOS 18 or later, the built-in Passwords app can also hold verification codes. Any standard authenticator app works.
Enter your email and password, then open your authenticator app and type the current 6-digit code for HomeReadiness. If it doesn't work, wait for the next code and try again.
Use Forgot password? on the sign-in page. We'll email you a code to set a new password. If two-step verification is on, you'll still need your authenticator code to sign in afterward. That's what keeps your account safe even if someone gets into your email.
Email support@homereadiness.co from the email on your account. We'll confirm it's you and turn off two-step verification so you can sign in and set it up again on your new phone.
Tip: when you get a new phone, move your authenticator app to it before you reset the old one.
The account owner can require two-step verification for everyone in the family under Settings. If your family requires it, you'll be asked to set it up the next time you sign in.
